FAQs: Technical/Security
Notifications and Communication
PlumLife not only gives you a place to track all of the details about drivers, sitters and tasks but, if you provide the email, PlumLife will notify all people involved to let them know that they are request to attend, or asked to drive, or needed as a sitter. Using an icon display system, you are notified when all of the details are confirmed or you have a visual cue when something is not complete for an upcoming event.

Steps to Notify and Get Confirmation
- Anyone inside your household who has a calendar in your PlumLife system or others for whom you have an email address can be assigned a role in an event or be assigned to complete a task which is unrelated to an event.
- In order to include a person as a "player" in an event, make sure you either have a contact for that person in your People Tab or you know the email address to enter in the field instead of just the name.
- Notifications via email appear to have come from you at the email address you used to register for PlumLife. The subject line reads: Your Name PlumLife Notification
- Inside the email sent out as a part of an Event are all of the details of that appointment along with an introductory sentence which reads, <Your first name> has indicated that you are needed in some way on the following event. Please check to find your name and ACCEPT or REJECT the invitation or request. (Image 1 - Completed Event)
- Inside the email sent out for a single Task, all of the details of that Task are displayed but the assumption is that you are assigning tasks to people whom you expect to do them. No confirmation is request although the text of the email asks that if they cannot help you with the task to email you to let you know. In the Task Tab, the (!) icon only displays when you have not assigned a task to someone (yourself or someone else).
- Some mobile users will not be able to respond directly from their mobile device but are prompted to respond when they return to their computer or to send their response via email directly back to you.
- If the recipient uses an electronic calendar, the .ics file can be imported and displayed with the basic information (not the PlumLife details) on their calendar.
- Notifications via text can be sent to people for whom you have created a calendar in PlumLife. The text (SMS) messages do not have the image but reference all of the details of the appointment as well as requesting confirmation.
