What is the easiest way to get my calendar data into PlumLife?

There are two ways to copy your data into PlumLife.  Both leave the data where it currently resides but makes a copy for PlumLife.

Another option for getting started is to create calendars within PlumLife that will keep your existing program updated as well.  This is called creating a continuous export.

Click on the purple heading for more information.

Single or Continuous Import or Export

A single import essentially makes a copy of your data as it is at the time you export it from the original program.  Once you have exported out (made a copy of the data) from the original program, you import the data into PlumLife.  After the single export and import, any changes made to either program will not be visible in the other.

A continuous import enables PlumLife to be constantly updated whenever you make an entry on the original program.  Use this option if, for instance, you run Outlook at the office but want to always see a copy of your work calendar in PlumLife.  Or, another example is that I get a feed (continuous import) of my father's schedule so I can keep track of when he is traveling or does not have plans without him having to remember to tell me.

A continuous import does not require you to export out of the original program.  You will be given a long URL from PlumLIfe which you use to tell the original program where to "pubish" its data.  PlumLife then knows where to go find the data to display for you.

A continuous export allows you to do your data entry in PlumLife but have those events also display in another calendar program.   This is a great way to start using PlumLife without the risk of having your data lost if you decide you prefer your current system better.  Another use for Continuous Export would be if you want to keep a calendar within PlumLife for your spouse's social calendar and have all of the events that you enter in PlumLife also be visible on his office Outlook or other program without having to email him everytime you add something.
