FAQs: Technical/Security
One Time Export of a Calendar
In the event that you want to export your data from one or more calendars in PlumLife, you can use the EXPORT button to create an .ics (standard calendar format) file. An .ics can be emailed and imported into most other calendar programs. A one time export is just like making a copy of what is in the calendar today and the file will not be updated once created.

One Time Export, Continuous Export or Post to Web
PlumLife allows you to share your calendars with others in several ways. You can post it to the web and give the private URL to those whom you want to give a view of the information. You can create a Continuous Export to an external calendar so that the external calendar is updated when you add something in PlumLife. You can create a copy of the calendar and send it as an attachment to someone. Or, the old fashion way, you can print out an individual calendar.

Publish a Calendar to a private URL on the web
PlumLife will generate a private URL which is the location for an individual calendar on the web. The view of the calendar is private and only visible to those to whom you share the URL. This calendar is a read only view and cannot be changed by the viewer.
Set up a Continuous Export from PL to another calendar system.
PlumLife will generate a private URL which you can give to another calendar program so that the data you enter into PlumLife will automatically show up on another calendar.
For example, I keep my husband's social calendar in PlumLife. I set it up so that his calendar at the office receives a feed from PlumLife and displays the added event whenever I add something to his afterwork life.
Note: Some calendar systems allow the User to designate a special calendar or calendar filter where constantly updated calendars can reside so that the data is not comingled with work appointments. Consult the specific calendar system to determine if that feature is available.

Sharing PlumLife Calendars with Google
PlumLife calendars can be displayed on a Subscribed calendar from your Google Calendar. This can be useful if you wish to allow someone you know, or even perhaps your own Google account, to view the events on one of your PlumLife calendars.
Sharing PlumLife Calendars with other PlumLife Calendars
PlumLife calendar schedules can be displayed on other PlumLife Calendars. This can be done from within the same account, or from one PlumLife account to another. This can be useful if you wish to allow someone you know with PlumLife to view one of your calendars.
Although you may subscribe one of your PlumLife calendars to another Calendar, this is not recommended. Instead, while creating an Event try adding a Required (or Optional) attendee, and typing in the name of one of your Calendars. Doing this will make the event still show up on the recipient Calendar even when the main calendar the event is assigned to is filtered-OFF (it will display with the main calendars color as an outline, with a white internal color). This can also be done with the Driver, Sitter and Task Owner recipients.
Sharing PlumLife Calendars with Outlook
PlumLife calendars can be displayed on a Subscribed calendar from within Outlook. This can be useful if you wish to allow someone you know, or even perhaps your Outlook at another location, to view the events on one of your PlumLife calendars.
