Assign
A task including an Errand, Correspondence or General Task, Driver or Sitter can be assigned to a person with a calendar in your PlumLife or someone external to your household who has an email address.

Browse
Browse enables you to search for a file on your computer without leaving the program you are using.

Casual Label on People Contact
Casual Label field is designed to give you a place to list an individual or couple as you would address a casual invitation.

Contact Preference
Contact Preference, a PlumLife field on a contact in the People Tab, offers you the ability to remind yourself which mode of communication each person prefers so that you get your responses faster.

Continuous Import or Export
Continuous Import and Export enable you to tell PlumLife to communicate with an external calendar.

CSV File
A .CSV file is a standard name for a file that has contact information in it.

Custom Fields
You can name up to 5 extra fields for use in keeping data on the people in your life. Consider creating a field for Children's Names or to track wedding gifts received and acknowledged.

Delegate
Delegate is the field within an Event that allows you to assign a task to yourself or someone else.

Driver
This a label for a field within an event where you can put the name of a person in your contacts whom you are assigning, or asking, to drive the child or elderly person to or from the appointment. PlumLife will contact the driver and, if desired, get a confirmation for you.

Edit Button
This button lists the field names that are available to be column headings in a display.

Export
Export is the action when you send information from your program. Both contact and calendar information can be exported using the Export button on each page or from My Account or Set Up Guide.

Formal Label
Formal Label is a field in a contact. We added this field for those of us who are so over organized that we are entering the formal names of our friends as we learn them, so we are ready for the wedding (even though our children are 8). if you never plan to send a formal invitation, this field is not required.
*Future releases of PlumLife will enable you to hide this field if you don't plan to use it.

Global Search
Global Search gives you the ability to search people, events and tasks all at once. Search "brown" and find contacts for John Brown, Cindy Brown, Brown Bear Company; as well as events Dr. Brown appointment and tasks like pu brown bag at White's house.

ICS File
An .ICS file is a standard file name for calendar data.

Import
Import is the action when you bring information into a program. Both contact and calendar information can be imported.
An import can be done as a single action which is when you essentially take a picture of data as it exists at the moment and then copy that data somewhere else. If after doing the import you make changes to the data in either location (old or new), it will not match.
A continuous import (sometimes called a Feed) is when you connect two programs and tell one to copy information into the other everytime you make a change. This is a one way communication from one to another and does not go both ways (not a sync).

Individual Card
Individual Card is PlumLife's word for a contact in your database (address book).

List Entry
List Entry will be introduced in the Premium version to provide you with an Excel-like form, making it easier to type in a list of people or events or tasks without the burden of entering them individually.
Mini Calendar
By clicking on the button labeled "Mini Calendar," you expose a small month view of a calendar with dates. To close the Mini Calendar, select on of the other buttons in that panel - My Calendars or Tags.

Require Response
Require Response checkboxes allow you to tell PlumLife to display a problem icon (!) until an acceptance has been received from the person requested to help.

Required or Optional Attendee
An attendee is someone whom you'd like to be present at an event or whom you'd like to know about the event as an FYI.

Sitter
A sitter is someone whom you ask to watch your children or an elderly relative.

Subscribe
Subscribe is the process when an external calendar displays in a calendar in your system.

Tags
Tags are a label used to group data. Tags can apply to people and tasks.
You can create tags for events, but the search function isn't working the way we want it to (yet).

URL
URL is the name for the location of a site on the web.
For example, www.plumlife.com is the URL for our website.

vCard
A vCard is a standard file name for an individual or group of contacts.
